I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
